The primary objective of the STIET PhD program is to train scientists able to promote and carry out highly qualified research activities in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), highlighting, in particular, the sectors of Electronics, Telecommunications, Electromagnetism and Computer Science. The activities developed aim to include future researchers both in the productive system and in academic structures, as well as in research institutions at national and international level. The study program of each student must have both scientific relevance and applicative interest and must be aimed at deepening the various necessary disciplines. Each doctoral student, at the end of the course, must have acquired skills in the development of research and a good level of autonomy, must have developed original ideas and shown capacity of interaction. To this end important objectives are considered: the number and quality of scientific publications, the involvement in research projects both of institutional and industrial nature, the participation in lectures, seminars, courses, national and, above all, international conferences, the participation in organizational activities in international journals and / or conferences, the achievement of scientific-technical prizes and awards.
